Alpha Systems pioneered the one-component system in 1990. The method enables home builders dispense and apply one-component polyurethane adhesive to framework for bonding wall and floor panels found in today's manufactured housing industry. The system has been carefully designed and extensively field-tested to prove its strength and durability. The advantage to manufactured home builders is fast, precise, and waste-free application - critical cost-saving factors in today's competitive marketplace. Today many home builders also enjoy a drastic reduction in field fasteners! The top 10 manufactured housing volume producers use the Alpha one-component system. These major manufacturers enjoy a major reduction in "panel pops" thanks to the dependability of P5100 adhesive. It also has outperformed all other adhesives in the reduction or elimination of floor squeaks. P5100 is available in tubes, 55-gallon drums, and 316 gallon totes for maximum application flexibility.
Competitive adhesives typically shrink during curing. Not P5100. It foams up during the curing process, creating unmatched gap-filling properties. When fully cured, P5100 is a rigid foam with excellent structural integrity.
The Alpha Systems one-component adhesive system allows homebuilders to quickly apply two 1/16" diameter beads of P5100 polyurethane adhesive to framework. Moisture in the wood causes the polyurethane to "foam up". During the open-time period of 15 to 20 minutes, installers can position required drywall panels or floor decking, then fasten as required. The fastened panels can be lifted or moved immediately.
Alpha Systems 5101 product, can be used in a chalking gun and is a non-sag "back panel" adhesive. This unique product has been specifically designed for vertical adhesive applications. Available in 1/10 gallon tubes only.
