Alpha Systems Inc. was formed in 1984 to manufacture and distribute construction products and accessories for the RV, marine and manufactured housing industries. The product line consisted primarily of sealant products until 1987, when Alpha and Uniroyal Elastomerics Company pioneered the development of EPDM rubber roofing for manufactured housing and RV applications. As Alpha Systems became the leader in that fast-growing market, it not only sold rubber roofing, but also manufactured all sealants and adhesives needed for a total rubber roofing system. Alpha remains the leader in rubber roofing systems today.

The company expanded again in the early 1990s with the addition of in-house thermoforming capabilities. Today, prototype to super-size ovens enable Alpha Systems to produce a wide range of components - from very small to those as large as a one-piece front and rear RV caps.

1994 saw yet another expansion with Alpha's introduction of thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing and flooring membrane. TPO, a performance-proven OEM product, provides superior resistance to UV light, making it a highly practical and durable solution for numerous RV and marine applications.

In November 1997, Alpha Systems acquired NYCO Plastics Inc. to further expand its line of plastic products. The acquisition enabled Alpha to offer high-end injection-molded products including shutters and automotive and electronics industry components. The NYCO acquisition also enabled Alpha to diversify its customer base by supplying products to major home center retailers.

ALPHASTONE^TM solid surface material was introduced in 1998. This versatile product is used to create upscale countertops, sinks and decorative components in the kitchen and bath industries.
